So, I've been neglecting my account quite a bit, largely because I've been neglecting my art quite a bit. I've been getting back into it, though, and i should have a few uploads within the next couple of weeks. I just felt like saying hello and sharing my excitement over a current project of mine. My friend, Matt, is a musician playing in a local music festival and has asked me to silkscreen some t shirts for him. I posted a proof of the design, and after fiddling around with the screen nearly all day on Sunday, we got an effective technique down and we are ready to start production. So, every year, there's a student exhibition at the Art Gallery of Sudbury called "Emergence." High school students from around the district can each submit up to two pieces, which are then judged and a selection of them are put on display for a month. This was the second time I entered, and both of my pieces were accepted. I'm going to be uploading pictures of them, though I hope to get better shots of them when my class visits the gallery. If you're in the Sudbury area and you've got some spare time, why not check out the Emergence show at the Art Gallery? The gallery closes at five, but the show's free. =)
